Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says that N’Golo Kante will not leave Chelsea despite reports which suggest he will the West London club.
N’Golo Kante will not leave Chelsea, at least if it is Frank Lampard’s decision. The Chelsea boss says his midfielder is indispensable and will not be sold.
“I’ve seen some talks and reports about him and his future at the club,” the Chelsea coach said in an interview with ‘London Evening Standard’.
Lampard loves the Frenchman’s play: “I have said it a lot of times. N’Golo is one of the best midfield players in the world and I would have loved to have played with him. He has everything,” he added.
Chelsea had thought about Kante’s sale to finance the Premier League club’s signings this summer. There had even been talk about a swap deal with Philippe Coutinho.
But Kante, at least if it depends on Lampard, will stay at Chelsea next season. And the thing is that the midfielder has become an essential player at Stamford Bridge.
